Forest 4

I loved the sunlight filtering into the trees. The storms took out a lot of deadfall, and there was so much water running off the pathways and the bottom of my pants were soaked. Who can resist walking for miles in the forest, pretending to be the only human being left in the world?

The lichen on the ground was extremely soft and cushiony. If the ground wasn't so soppy it would have been easy to sit there and ruminate and have a nap.
